Acid attack in Noida, NCW order UP DGP to enforce a ban on the sale of acid in the UP

National Women's Commission (NCW) on Wednesday arrested Uttar Pradesh Police Director General (DGP) O.P. Singh has been asked to implement the ban on the sale of acids in the state. The Commission said that it is upset with the increasing incidents of acid attack in the state.

Referring to a media report, the commission said that the 22-year-old woman becomes a victim of allegedly acid attacked from her two brothers and after that, she was thrown at Coat village in Greater Noida's Dadri on May 9.

According to the News Agency language, in a letter to the DGP, the Commission has also sought a detailed report regarding the action taken on this matter. The commission said that his team will soon go to the victim's house.

Chairman of the Commission, Mr. Line Sharma said that keeping in view the seriousness of the matter, it is requested that action will be taken to implement the ban on acid sale in the state and In this case, a detailed action report can be sent to the Commission.
