On the evening of Tuesday, 2019 (Lok Sabha Elections 2019), the campaigning for the final phase came to Kolkata on Kolkata's road show in BJP President Amit Shah's roadshow. According to the news agency ANI, poles were thrown over the truck that Amit Shah was riding on. After which the ruckus started.
According to reports, Trinamool activists set fire to a bike near Vidyasagar College. The fire brigade did not reach on the spot but the police were engaged in extinguishing the fire. During the road show, journalists, besides several supporters of BJP, were injured in stone-throwing. After which the police had to charge the sticks to handle the situation.

It is clear in the pictures that the vehicles have been set on fire during the ruckus. After the riot and the violent clashes during Amit Shah Roadshow, the statue of Lord Chandra Vidyasagar was also damaged at Vidyasagar College. It is worth noting that in the last phase in West Bengal, there will be nine seats. These seats are: Jaynagar, Dumdum, Barasat, Bashirhat, Diamond Harbor, Mathurpur, Kolkata South, Kolkata North, Jadhavpur.
