Lok Sabha Election 2019, Phase four: -UP-Bihar behind in voting as per Bengal's voting percent

In the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar were seen lagging behind. On Monday, the fourth phase for 71 seats of eight states and Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag seat, the lowest voting took place in UP, Bihar, and Maharashtra.

In the polling for 13 seats in Uttar Pradesh, 53.12 percent of the voters used their votes till 6 pm. On the other hand, 53.67 percent of the electorate for five seats in Bihar came out from the houses to vote. Despite the celebrity appeal in Maharashtra, the percentage of voting was only 51.42 percent.

During the voting for eight seats in West Bengal, there were violent clashes between workers of different parties. Central forces in Birbhum's Durbaraj shot fired in the air to control the uncontrollable crowd.

Senior Election Officer said that such incidents have been recorded in Birbhum district of Nanoor, Rampurhat, Nalhati, and Suri. There is also news of damage to BJP candidate Babul Supriyo's vehicle in Asansol.

In this phase, votes were cast in six seats in Mumbai. Bollywood celebrities including Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan actress Priyanka Chopra, Aishwarya Rai used their votes. However, despite the stars' appeal, the percentage of voting in Mumbai was reduced.

With the fourth phase, the voting process in Maharashtra and Odisha has been completed. While the process of voting has started in Jharkhand, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Whereas in half the seats of Bihar, voters have secured the decision in EVMs.
