IPL 2019, MI Vs CSK: -Mumbai Prevented CSK's Consecutive Victory


The 15th Match of IPL 2019 was played between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Mumbai beat Chennai by 37 runs in the match. While Mumbai recorded its second win in four games, it was the first defeat in Chennai in four games. Chasing a target of 171 runs from Mumbai, the Chennai team could make 133 for 8 in the stipulated 20 overs.
Only Kedar Jadhav succeeded in playing a half-century in 58 runs from Chennai. He faced 54 balls in his innings and hit eight fours and a six. For Mumbai, Hardik Pandya and Lasith Malinga scored 3-3 and Jason Behrendorff took 2 wickets. Hardik Pandya was selected as the player of the match for his all-rounder performance.
Earlier, batting first by losing toss in the match, Mumbai Indians scored 170 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs. For Mumbai, Suryakumar Yadav scored 59 runs and Krunal Pandya scored 42 runs. Mumbai also made only 141 runs for 5 wickets in the 19th over. But Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard scored 29 runs in the last over of Dwayne Bravo to reach Mumbai to a challenging score.
In this over, Hardik put two sixes and a four. On the other hand, Kieron Pollard hit a six in a no-ball and make a triple also. Hardik Pandey was unbeaten in 25 balls with 8 fours and 3 sixes in 8 balls and Kieron Pollard remained unbeaten 17 runs in 7 balls with 2 sixes. For Chennai, Deepak Chahar, Dwayne Bravo, Ravindra Jadeja, Imran Tahir, and Mohit Sharma got one-one success.

The catch which Kareena Pollard did on the boundary line of Suresh Raina proved to be a turning point for the match. Pollard had a great catch with one hand, then Raina was playing with 16 runs.
