With a superb performance of the bowlers led by Deepak Chahar, Chennai Super Kings beat Kolkata Knight Riders by seven wickets on Tuesday to clinch the top of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2019) table.

Chahar (3/20), Harbhajan Singh (two wickets for 15 runs), Imran Tahir (two wickets for 21 runs) and Ravindra Jadeja (17 runs for one wicket). Knight Riders' team scored only 108 runs from nine wickets, which is the third lowest score of the current season.

In reply, Chennai Super Kings won the match by opener Faf du Plessis (43 not out) and Ambati Rayudu (21) for a 46-run third wicket partnership in the 17.2 overs with 111 runs in three wickets. Faf du Plessis hit three fours in his 45-ball knock. Kedar Jadhav remained unbeaten on eight runs.

Kolkata's star batsman Andre Russell hit a ball for sixes. Given the speed and direction of the ball, it could definitely be called six, but the dynamic fielder Ravindra Jadeja's charismatic fielding prevented the ball with one hand.

This turning point was in the 14th over of the innings. Russell played a ball out of the offside in the air, but Jadeja, standing at mid-wicket, was only a few steps away from the rope. He was watching the ball going over his head. Only then he jumped and prevent the ball with the left hand and saved five runs for his team.
